SPB should [...] Few days ago I read this blog post on Daphnemaia’s blog (very recommended read!), and it really seriously got me thinking. It’s about how advertisement and products dedicated to women is intensely aggressive, and how it convinces us women, that as we are, we are ugly and unworthy, but we could be potentially perfect, if [...] I did not eve expect that this could happen to me, but seems I go the good ol’ writers block. I love writing on my blog – it sometimes feels like it’s the only sane thing I do ;p But I guess it’s hard to pop out interesting posts, when one leads a mundane life [...] I’m currently reading “Deluxe – how luxury lost its luster” by Dana Thoma, and I must say it’s a rocky read for the mind. Just few years ago, i would still consider that luxurious things were in a way exclusive or limited in quantity, and definitely of impeccable quality. But nowadays my perspective changes… Exclusivity [...] So, it’s been two issues already that I found my way onto Chic magazine pages: First was on advertisement for the blogshop I model for – TheWildFLowerShop. Anyone spotted me? This is from the Issue 20 hehe Second is actuals a small advertisement of the Wardrobe section of this blog, where you can get my favorite and [...] It’s been a full year, since I have traveled to my home country (Poland). I won’t be doing it this year – the cost is prohibitive, the journey long, and aside meeting with family and friends, there is not really much to do (and it’s a bit bitter actually… with everyone being emo and stuff…). [...] I know I might be over-reacting here, but hey! I do come from a marketing background, so it’s only normal that advertisements and sales-pitches draw my attention on many levels. But there is one thing I can’t stand, is when brands and companies try to cash on women insecurities and even deliberately tell women there [...] I have not been active a lot on-line for the past few days, as I have fallen totally sick I just hate being bed and home-bound, but what to do – an ear infection got the better of me.
